The more physical memory your VPS has, the more programs you shall be able to run all at once. Some programs require plenty of RAM even if nothing else is running on the web server, even though they might not require high CPU speeds or a lot of disk space. If your web server runs out of memory, it'll stop responding and the websites and the offline apps you host on it will not work effectively, as their software components won't load since there will not be any free memory. In this light, we offer a RAM upgrade for our VPS packages, thus if you detect that your server is close to the limit, you could make the most of this upgrade without upgrading the whole package and paying for system resources which you won't use. That way, you could guarantee the proper functioning of your scripts and stop worrying that your website visitors shall see errors or will be unable to open your sites at all.
Additional RAM in VPS Servers
You shall be able to add more RAM to your VPS servers whatever the plan that you have picked, even if it's a high-end one. The upgrade is supplied in increments of 128 MB, so you shall be able to include as much RAM as you need at any given time, taking advantage of the overall flexibility of our system. The amount of memory which you order shall be assigned to your existing virtual server, so you'll not need to do anything on your end. You'll not detect any downtime on your websites, because the VPS shall not be shut down or rebooted for the additional memory to be assigned to it. The upgrade may be ordered either throughout the signup procedure - provided you know ahead of time that you shall need it, or later using the billing area - if you need it after you've begun using the hosting server. In any case, adding more physical memory will take only a few mouse clicks and because all VPS accounts are created on powerful hosting servers, there shall always lots of free memory to ensure that any one of the virtual web servers may be upgraded as much as needed at any moment.
