A catch-all feature that is activated for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run a business, for example. Since you may start receiving junk emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only real messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking it for a second time will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You’ll be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated service with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you set up with any domain name hosted in your account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you’re attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all address for a particular domain name or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never deactivate or change any feature automatically and without your permission.
